I and my family are devotees of these mints and I used to buy them in bulk in Dorchester when we lived in Dorset during my attachment to the RN. For some years thereafter, we could buy them locally in Canberra but I haven't seen them since the early 1980s. More recently, Aldi has marketed a mixed Bendicks mint pack in their Christmas 'goodies', but not the actual bitter mints. They are a taste sensation and that assessment is from one who is not a chocolate eater!

Iconic snack, very easy to eat a lot of them. Made by T. Tunnock Ltd Uddington Scotland. "More than 5,000,000 of these biscuits made and sold every week". If you know these biscuits then you know you want them. I'm not sure the packaging has changed since the war, either, pleasantly retro. Buy them.
